Ever since I was a young teenager in high school, I had a goal: , my sole purpose was to work in the food business. More specifically: the fast food business.
Why? Well for two reasons: as a child the fast food advertising was pure magical and two: I saw a huge potential for similar food chains in Europe as the ones in the States. . Unaware of ethical dilemma's or health related risks I started on this journey. After completing 2 related degrees, I found my dream job.
After reaching certain limiting factors for my personal development, I decided not to abandon my marketing knowledge, but to switch industries. It was strange: at a relatively young age, I fulfilled all my dreams concerning work. But luckily it didn't take long for me to fully appreciate the new adventure I embarked on.
Exponential growth in a dynamic environment (and dealing with it) runs like a thread through my working life. Currently I have evolved to a general management position where I am responsible for multiple staff teams ranging from HR to Marketing and Quality and Security to Facility services. And this time it is not the fast food business, but the health and work safety business. Although they seem like a different ball game, many comparisons can be made. The exceptional people, for one, stand out.
I fully embrace a healthy lifestyle, and a very strong entrepreneurial drive. I enjoy sports like tennis, squash, baseball and swimming, but grew a love for running over the years. Especially trail running has been something that is very rewarding. Other than that, I like to help out in my community and continuously challenge myself in order to live life to the fullest.
